BUCKHANNON — Help the Upshur Parish Cooperative and Crosslines help kids and teenagers who need a bit of a boost when it comes to purchasing school supplies.

Right now, the Parish House is collecting backpacks and school supplies to fill them with, including: pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, highlighters, binders, erasers and more. Volunteers will stuff backpacks with much-needed supplies and distribute them at the end of the month.

The Backpack Program Giveaway will be Monday, July 29 through Friday, Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parish House at 68 College Avenue.

Backpacks and supplies for students in pre-school, kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school are needed.

Anyone wishing to donate funds or supplies should do so within the next two weeks between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Parish House. Questions? Call 304-472-0743.
