Order gifts from SERRV to support Crosslines

BUCKHANNON — If you need a unique gift for any occasion, you can support Crosslines at the Upshur Parish House as well as artisans from around the world by ordering from SERRV.

A fair trade nonprofit since 1949, SERRV empowers marginalized artisans and farmers to earn a fair living from their work, breaking the cycle of poverty and building stronger communities worldwide.

A percentage of every sale ordered online using this designated website will be given to Crosslines: https://www.serrv.org?a=crosslines. The website also includes information about the artisans who produce these products.

Items include baskets, chocolate, coffee, ornaments, kitchen accessories, scarves, purses, jewelry, pottery and much more.  All items are handmade and are shipped directly to the buyer.  These gifts are available throughout the year, not just at Christmas time.

Ordering from SERRV as a fundraiser for Crosslines was started by members of First United Methodist Church. Questions can be directed to Marje Richter at 304-472-3317.

Crosslines is an ecumenical program that offers assistance with medical needs, clothing, rent, utilities, transportation, layettes and food for low-income families of Upshur County.

First UMC is located at 52 South Florida Street, Buckhannon, and offers Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Worship at 10:40 a.m. every Sunday.  All are welcome at First UMC where hearts, minds and doors are open. For more information, visit www.firstchurchum.com.
