Tuesday, December 16

Curbside Recycling Pick-Up begins at 6 a.m. Pick-up is within the city limits of Buckhannon. Information about recycling can be found on the city website, at City Hall or by calling the Recycling Center or Upshur County Solid Waste Authority at 304-472-4443.

City Hall Closed from noon to 2 p.m. for Staff Christmas Party.

Wednesday, December 17

Annual Menorah Lighting at 7 p.m. in Jawbone Park.

Thursday, December 18

Reminders

To help keep our town and streets safe and attractive:

  • Keep leaves out of the street as they can block stormwater drains and cause flooding.
  • Keep sidewalks clear of snow.
  • Trash cans should be kept out of public view whenever possible; place them at the curb the night before collection and return them within 24 hours after collection.

Pay utility bills online at Municipal Online Payments or by phone at 1-866-933-4026. Setting up an account allows you to monitor your utility usage.

Report Repairs or Concerns

To report issues such as potholes or damaged signs, call City Hall during business hours to submit a work order or use the Citizen Engagement tool.

WVDNR stocked trout in 89 West Virginia lakes and streams during the week of March 2, with several Children and Class Q waters included. Anglers can find recently stocked waters at WVdnr.gov/fish-stocking and should carry a valid license/ID and trout stamp if targeting trout.
