Notre Dame football earns top seed in Super Region 1

INDIANAPOLIS — Notre Dame College earned its first NCAA Football Playoff berth and the top seed in Super Region 1 as the committee announced the field on Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons are the top seed in the region after posting a perfect 11-0 regular season and winning the Mountain East Conference title. NDC earned a bye and will take on the winner of fourth-seeded Kutztown (9-1) and fifth-seeded Hillsdale (9-2) in two weeks at Mueller Field.

LIU Post (10-0) is the No. 2 seed in the region and will play No. 7 Slippery Rock (9-2) in the first round. Third-seeded West Chester (10-0) will battle New Haven (8-1) in the first round as well.
