Nicky Clay Hyre

Nicky Clay Hyre (Nick), 60, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Camden-Clark Hospital in Parkersburg, WV.

He was born December 10, 1960, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of the late Paul A. and Vada G. Hodgkiss Hyre.

He is survived by his lovely wife of 37 years, Julie A. Rollins Hyre; daughter, Latishua D. Rosenstein (Joshua); grandson, Brecken; sister, Sharon Strader (Jim); mother-in-law, Joyce Rollins; brothers-in-law, Ronald Rollins, Jr. (Bobby) and Richard Rollins; sister-in-law, Janice Rollins of VT; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ronald G. Rollins, Sr.

Nick was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church of Buckhannon and the owner of IG Consulting, LLC. Nick started in the Oil & Gas Industry in 1979, and has been a supervisor for the last 27 of his 42-year career. Throughout the years he worked hard to grow his business with continuous education and certifications to be the best at what he did. The oilfield was his second home. From Lewis Co., WV to the mountains of Renova, PA and beyond, he was honored to call all the guys and gals he worked with family.

In honoring Nicks wishes, he will be cremated.

Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life Gathering, Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV. If you are feeling ill, please refrain from attending.
