Buckhannon Mayor David McCauley uses a sword to dub Madolyn Long a Lady of the Golden Horseshoe. Madolyn was one of four winners recognized Thursday at Jawbone Park during the Golden Horseshoe Day. McCauley used a sword on loan from Upshur County Assistant Superintendent Dr. Debra Harrison – which was one of her son’s swords from West Point. Harrison is also a recipient of the Golden Horseshoe Pin and was inducted into the society when she was in school.
