New Year, New Beginnings: Mon Health’s Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital welcomes New Year baby

Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital celebrates its first baby to be delivered this year, Axten Osburn, son of Gracie Schoonover and Austin Osburn.

The Special Delivery Birthing Center at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the arrival of baby Axten Osburn, who made his appearance on Jan. 7.

Welcomed by parents Graci Schoonover and Austin Osburn and older brother Luca, Baby Axten was born weighing 8 pounds and 4 ounces and measured 21 inches.

Dr. Erin Miller, DO, was on call at the Special Delivery Birthing Center for the start of the new year and delivered Baby Axten.

“Welcoming the New Year baby is an incredible way to start the year—it’s a moment filled with hope, joy and endless possibilities for the future. Being part of such a special milestone is a true privilege,” Dr. Miller said.

Baby Axten’s birth was celebrated with cheers from the hospital’s delivery team, who presented the family with a special “Baby New Year” gift basket.
