Nathan Allen Sines

Nathan Allen Sines, 81, of Buckhannon, passed away surrounded by loving family on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born in Goshen on February 26, 1940, a son of the late Sherman Archie Sines and Edrie Catherine Byrd Sines. In addition to his parents, Nathan was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Ray Sines.

Nathan’s ornery nature will be forever remembered by nine children: Jeffery Sines of Madison, Ohio, John Sines of Geneva, Ohio, Joey Sines and fiancé, Darla Baldwin Cunningham, of Madison, Ohio, Nathan C. Sines of Weston, W.Va., Natasha Sines of Cleveland, Ohio, Rush Sines of Buckhannon, W.Va., Daisy Chamberlain and husband, John Michael, of Elkins, W.Va., Dusty Sines of Salem, W.Va., and Michael Sines of Weston, W.Va.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four siblings: Hazel Shirley Jefferson of Fla., Hetzel Leo Sines of Ohio, Archie “Lee” Sines of W.Va., and Perry Landis Sines of W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Nathan spent over 50 years in the construction industry where he worked with drywall. After retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, ramp digging, playing cards, and shooting pool. He treasured spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They all held the key to his heart. Nathan also loved coon-hunting. He never met a stranger and could spark up a conversation with anyone he met telling them all kinds of stories. Nathan’s door was always open to anyone. He was an adventurous and outgoing man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required indoors. Family and friends will gather for Visitation at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
