Family medicine physician Andrew Colebank, DO, has joined WVU Medicine St. Joseph's Hospital at the Brushy Fork Rural Health Clinic in Buckhannon, where he is now scheduling patients of all ages for appointments beginning in October. Read more →

Update, 10 a.m. July 16 – The boil water advisory has been lifted.

Mt. Hope Water Association reported a mainline water break in their system Friday afternoon. It will affect residents in the Tallmansville, Tenmile, Democrat Ridge and Queens areas. A boil water advisory has been issued until further notice.

Stephen David Randall

Stephen David Randall, 77, of Buckhannon, passed away on August 20, 2026. A licensed captain and lifelong adventurer, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, sailor, and entrepreneur. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Wesley Chapel.

Upshur County’s Sept. 7-13 sports calendar features Buckhannon-Upshur and West Virginia Wesleyan teams competing in football, soccer, golf, volleyball, cross country and tennis. Labor Day has no scheduled events.
