Mountain CAP of WV offers free children’s yoga and craft session on December 14

Families seeking an engaging and healthy Saturday activity can find it at Mountain CAP of WV, Inc.’s Family Support Center on East Main Street. On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the center will host its monthly free children’s yoga class, followed by a craft session, providing a morning of movement, creativity and community connection.

The yoga session, led by certified instructor Susan Harsh, is tailored for elementary-aged children. From 11 a.m. to noon, kids can practice basic yoga poses and breathing techniques, helping them develop balance, flexibility and confidence. Immediately after the yoga class, a guided craft activity will take place from noon to 12:30 p.m., allowing children to express their creativity.

All children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver who remains on-site for the duration of the yoga class and craft activity. Families are required to sign a release form before their child participates.

The Family Support Center asks community members to pre-register for the yoga class and craft activity by Friday, December 13, at noon to ensure adequate space and supplies. Please call (304) 878-1115 or email Lvannostrand@mountaincapwv.org to reserve your spot. The event is free of charge, making it an accessible, family-friendly way to stay active and creative during the winter season.
