Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital to hold Safety Fair on Oct. 30

WESTON, W.Va. – Making a difference and keeping our children safe and healthy is the goal of the 11th annual Children’s Safety Fair at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital (SJMH) in Weston. The Safety Fair will be held on Saturday, October 30, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Hospital. Various displays, games, and information will be set up around the parking lot at the Rt. 33 healthcare facility in Weston.

The fair is a cooperative effort between SJMH and a variety of local non-profit agencies. The goal of the fair is to provide safe, healthy activities for children in an entertaining manner. There will be a variety of safety stations including dental care, hand washing, tobacco prevention, proper mask wearing/social distancing and healthy eating. The Dietary Department from SJMH will also provide free refreshments for families.

Each participating family will be given a pumpkin and holiday decorations. A costume contest will be held at noon when children will be asked to stand by their vehicles for pictures. Their names will then go into a drawing for the various categories of Most Original, Scariest, and Funniest, with age brackets of 0-3, 4-7, 8-10, and 11-13.

To participate in the event please contact the SJMH Marketing Department at 304-269-8167 or 304-517-8612.
