Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital recently received an “A” rating for hospital safety.
The Leapfrog Group has developed, under the guidance of an expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, which uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D and F grades to approximately 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. It is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
SJMH was the only “A” rated hospital in West Virginia for Fall 2020.
SJMH has also received designation as top 100 Safety Net Hospitals by The Washington Monthly magazine which released its inaugural “Best Hospitals for America” ranking and the Gold Honors Award from the WV Hospital Association.
SJMH earned the following recognition from the The Lown Institute:
- National Overall Grade: A-
- National Value of Care Grade: A+
- National Civic Leadership Grade: A+
- Top 100 in the Nation for Civic Leadership
- Top 100 in the Nation for Community Benefit
