CLARKSBURG — Country music fans will have the opportunity to experience one of the genre’s most recognizable voices this summer as chart-topping country artist Mitchell Tenpenny takes the stage at the Clarksburg Amphitheater on Saturday, August 1 for a special one-night performance.
Tenpenny continues to expand his sound and storytelling with the release of his latest album, “The 3rd.” The Nashville native leans further into his roots, influences and personal journey, delivering what many consider his most authentic and adventurous project to date.
Country radio audiences know Tenpenny as a consistent hitmaker and a powerful storyteller with a distinctive voice and knack for memorable hooks. With more than 2.1 billion global streams, he has established himself as a major force in modern country music. His chart-topping hits include “Drunk Me,” “Truth About You” and “At the End of a Bar.”
On “The 3rd,” Tenpenny explores deeper themes drawn from his life and experiences. The album reflects his growth as an artist and songwriter while blending traditional country storytelling with modern influences such as rock-driven production and bold lyrical perspectives.
“We have worked hard to get him (Mitchell Tenpenny) to be a part of the summer’s lineup,” said City of Parks Superintendent Doug Comer. “Working through the routed dates, we caught one that works for everyone on August 1st. And, with music today listened mostly through streaming, having over 2-billion global streams tells me this will be a great show!”
Fans attending the August 1 performance at the Clarksburg Amphitheater can expect an energetic show featuring Tenpenny’s biggest hits, recent music from “The 3rd” and powerful live moments that have helped make him one of the most engaging performers in country music today.
