UPDATE: Ms. Arbogast has been located, according to West Virginia State Police.

The West Virginia State Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing elderly person. Louis Arbogast, 79, has been reported missing after being last seen leaving her residence near Hickory Flat Road in Buckhannon at approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Ms. Arbogast is described as wearing a maroon-colored sweatshirt at the time of her disappearance. She is believed to be driving a light green 2007 Kia Sportage. It is important to note that Ms. Arbogast may be experiencing early-onset dementia, which could affect her judgment and ability to navigate.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact Corporal F.J. Turansky at the Buckhannon Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
