Michael Ray Riffle

Michael Ray Riffle, 40, of Rock Cave, W.Va., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 17, 2021.

He was born August 5, 1980, in Weston, W.Va., a son of Darlene Kay Riffle of Crawford, W.Va. and the late Mark Riffle, Sr.

On April 5, 2008, he married Stephanie (Johnson) Riffle who survives. In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by one son, Cody Michael Riffle of Buckhannon; one daughter, Taylor Grace Riffle of Buckhannon; one sister, Christin Riffle (Daniel Ice, Tanisha, Tucker, Marissa & Chase) all of Philippi, W.Va.; one brother, Mark Riffle, Jr. (Alyssa, Gavin & Bradyn) all of Crawford, W.Va.; grandmother, Reba Riffle of French Creek; parents-in-law, Ken & Colleen Dudash of Ohio; one sister-in-law, Amanda Schramm (Josh, Kenton & Emaline) all of Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Kenny Dudash of North Carolina and Mike Dudash (Julia & Oliver) of Ohio; grandmother-in-law, Carol McCullough (Robert, Randie & Darlene) all of Ohio; two beloved dogs, Cole & Rocky and numerous other family members and close friends, some of whom would call him a brother. We will all miss him dearly.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Riffle; his grandparents, Lillie and Ray Fisher; grandfather, Rev. Marvin Riffle and an uncle, David McCartney.

Michael was a Crew Leader for Penn Line and loved all his co-workers. Michael was the best husband any woman could ask for. He loved his wife and was passionate about his kids and loved to take them hunting, fishing, and camping.  Michael was most at peace when he was outdoors. He was an avid Ford man and loved working on Ford trucks and missed working in an auto body shop.

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. In honoring Michael’s wishes, he will be cremated following the services.
