Mary Ellen Corder

Mary Ellen Corder, age 92, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at her home.

She was born September 26, 1932, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Foreman Guy and Martha Linger Strader.

On January 22, 1952, she married Joseph Alfred Corder, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2018. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Basil Strader and one sister, Martha Young.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Corder of Buckhannon and Mitchell Lynn Corder and wife Nancy of FL; several nieces and nephews and friends, JD and Delores McCollum, Rudy and Marge Rowan, Jack and JoAnn Ours, Travis and Norma Meyers and Dr. Joseph Reed.

Mrs. Corder was a homemaker and a member of the Reger Chapel United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home with Mike Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Reger Chapel Church Cemetery in Buckhannon.
