Margaret Grace Slaughter

Margaret Grace Slaughter, 77, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Holbrook Health Care Center in Buckhannon.

She was born September 13, 1942, in Upshur County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Floyd E. Slaughter and Agnes R. Ervin Royers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John M. Slaughter; one sister, Betty K. Misscare; two nieces, Jacqueline McFall and Cindy Fluharty and special family members, Roberta Wilfong.

She is survived by a nephew, John M. Slaughter, II and wife Pam of Buckhannon; special family members, Lonnie Wilfong, Connie Clem, Sandy Hinzman and husband Dan and Teresa Light and husband Steve all of Buckhannon and Cody, Josh, and Ethan Clem, Jacob and Kelsey Hinzman and Bella Light and several great nieces and nephews.

Ms. Slaughter was a lifelong member of the Buckhannon Chapter 319 Women of the Moose Lodge.

Friends will be received Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held noon Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
