Loretta June Reed, age 79, died Sunday, April 5, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
She was born December 7, 1946, a daughter of the late Van and Gladys Lake Squires.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Reed of Tallmansville, West Virginia; four sons, Bill Beckner and wife Cathy of Mount Airy, North Carolina, Chuck Beckner of Buckhannon, Jeff Reed and partner Stephanie Arbogast of Buckhannon, and Kenny Reed of Elkins, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Rob Beckner of Dobson, North Carolina, Corey Reed and Colton Beckner both of Buckhannon, Savannaha Burnham and husband Gavin of New Jersey, and Dakota Beckner of Buckhannon; one great-grandchild on the way; one sister, Nancy Eddy of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; and two brothers, Ron and Randy Squires both of Buckhannon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and David Squires.
Mrs. Reed was a machine operator at Moore Business Forms, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In honoring Mrs. Reed’s wishes, she will be cremated. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
