Living history encampment coming to West Virginia Wildlife Center on August 2-3

The West Virginia Wildlife Center in French Creek will host a living history encampment on August 2 and 3. The event, included with admission, will provide visitors with a chance to experience historical demonstrations from Pre-Colonial times through the Civil War Era.

Admission costs $4 for adults, $2 for ages 6 to 15, and is free for children aged 5 and under. Wildlife Center Passes are also accepted.

From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, attendees can “Walk Through History” and witness skills such as blacksmithing, gunsmithing, leather work, fire starting, and cooking.
