Lindon Gene Stone

Lindon Gene Stone, 64, of Buckhannon, W.Va. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on the 23rd day of December 2019, after a sudden illness.

Lindon was born September 15, 1955 in Buckhannon to the late Billy Gene Stone and Guyda Ernestine Queen Stone.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Paulette Sue (Lantz) Stone; son, Lindon “Lenny” Stone II; daughter, Tammy Chidester and husband Rick, and grandchildren Rachel, Courtney, and Alex; brother, Billy Stone and wife Paula, and nephew Hunter Stone.

Lindon retired from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2017, where he had worked as a plumber for 42 years. Lindon studied the bible faithfully and hosted a Bible Study on his Facebook page regularly where he encouraged many with his knowledge of the scriptures. He lived the scripture from 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Friends will be received ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ December 30, 2019 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. at The Way of Holiness Church, with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Reger Chapel Cemetery on Brushy Fork.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
