Linda Lou Phillips

Linda Lou Phillips, age 69, of Welch, WV, died Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the McDowell Healthcare Center in Welch. She was born December 4, 1955, in Weston, WV, a daughter of the late Robert C. and Betty Lou Hacker Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roscoe Phillips.

Linda was known by her peers and caretakers for her abundance of kindness and love like no other, for people, animals and God, as well as her resilient spirit. Faced with many battles over the course of her life, she remained confident that she would one day overcome all and be at peace with God in His mighty kingdom.

Linda enjoyed expressing herself with her ingenious fashion sense, a love for jewelry and bright makeup, and sharing her incredible artistic abilities through singing, creative writing, drawings and paintings. She also enjoyed sharing her story, personal difficulties, and her love for God with others to inspire them to overcome as well. One of her biggest creative accomplishments was a 350-page autobiography she handwrote.

In return, she was loved and adored by both her peers and staff members at the facility, whom she considered her family. Any individual lucky enough to cross paths with Linda was overwhelmingly blessed by her presence. She was incredibly dear to all the staff at McDowell Healthcare Center and will be terribly missed by all.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
