Lillian Marie Mitchell Sipe

Lillian was born on October 19, 1949, in Lumberport WV the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Mitchell. On November 13, 1965, she married her one true love, Roy Edward Sipe Sr who proceeded her in death on June 3, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Loretta and Harley Harris and her in-laws Orval Delbert and Icy Bell Tenney Sipe.

She is survived by two daughters, Becky Boley and husband Larry of Parkersburg WV and Cathy Johnston and husband Mike of Rock Cave WV; one son, Roy Edward Sipe Jr and companion Candice Mueller of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Heather Lott and husband Jeremy and Autumn Boley all of Parkersburg WV; three grandsons, Danny Dixon and wife Katie of New Martinsville WV, Shane Perry and his companion Sydney Hutchison of Savanna GA and Trent Sipe of Buckhannon; two great-granddaughters, Vada and Vila Lott of Parkersburg and one great grandchild on the way; her niece who was just like a sister to her, Mary Jane Bumgarder and husband Lynn; one more niece; one nephew and many extended family members. Also left to cherish her memory were two very close friends, Chris Arthur and Barb Day.

Lillian was a Christian and enjoyed attending Calvary Chapel Mountain Highlands church. Pastor Josh and everyone there, quickly became part of her extended family. During her younger years Lillian spent her days raising her three children. Her hands prepared many wonderful meals and always gave a comforting touch to all who knew her. After raising her children, Lillian ventured out into the working world where she worked as a door greeter for Walmart for almost 17 years.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Fresenius Dialysis center in Buckhannon, Dr Kara Black and her staff and Dr Daniel Brito and staff for the amazing care they provided for her.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral will follow visitation at 1 pm and will be officiated by Pastor Josh Layfield. Her body will be laid to rest in the Heavner Cemetery beside her husband Roy.

Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
