Lewis County Farmers Market to open May 1

WESTON — The Lewis County Farmers Market is opening on Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to noon.

It will be in front of Appalachian Glass, 499 U.S. Hwy 33 East in Weston every Saturday, excluding Sept. 3, Labor Day weekend, rain or shine. Everything sold at the market is grown, raised, or made by the vendor. There are more than 20 vendors to start the season.

  • Rt.18 will have fresh picked tomatoes, green beans, salad mix, spinach, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, cabbage, broccoli, beets, cauliflower, radishes, carrots, peas, and Spring onions.
  • Nolan Farms will have farm raised pork breakfast sausage, Italian sausage, ground pork, shoulder steaks, ham steaks, eggs and green onions.
  • Grandma’s Temptations will bring homemade deep-dish pies, cupcakes, brownies, asst. cookies, bread, pretzel bread, jams and jellies.
  • Tanner Leather Works will be crafting his custom made belts, wallets, and other leather products.
  • Berry Good Farm is joining us this year with raw honey, honeycombs, wax candles, and starter plants.
  • Seeds of Hope is bringing hemp tea mix, coconut oil infusions, leather pouches, hemp jewelry,art prints, veggies when available, healing salves, and iris bulbs.
  • Debbie’s Wreaths and Things will be joining us with her beautiful hand-crafted wreaths.
  • Frazier and Wilson will have fresh made granola and keto products.
  • Farmhouse Dips and Mixes is returning with their wonderful variety of dips and mixes, just in time for the holidays.

Other vendors will have farm fresh eggs, honey, maple syrup, goat milk soap, lotions, shampoos, men’s hand products, hand-poured soy wax melts, candles, car fresheners, hemp products, hand-crafted jewelry, homemade soaps, fairy gardens, herb plants, succulents, herb plants, wood carvings, and more. The featured food vendor for the first week will be Smoking Henhouse, so the farmers’ market will be staring the season with mouth-watering pulled pork, brisket, cheese steaks, fries, cole slaw, etc.
