TENNERTON – It was all Buckhannon-Upshur from start to finish Saturday in their 6-0 home victory over Martinsburg in non-conference action.

Catherine Oliveto, who had a hat trick and an assist for the Lady Bucs, scored in the first 90 seconds of the game and Buckhannon-Upshur never looked back en route to the easy shutout victory.

On her first goal, Oliveto grabbed possession of a Martinsburg goal kick and sent it back in for the first score of the game.

At the 15-minute mark, Oliveto played a ball from Ashley Catlin and beat Martinsburg keeper Jess Endrick with a shot making it a 2-0 contest.

Oliveto wrapped up her hat trick with B-U’s third goal when Miranda Greene played a through ball to her and she scored from inside the box making it a 3-0 B-U lead.

Sheridan Phillips ended the first-half scoring when she took a cross from Oliveto and buried a shot to the back of the net.

Cameron Zuliani had the first goal of the second half, taking a pass from Greene and scoring from just right of the box to make it a 5-0 B-U lead.

Ava Hollen had the Lady Bucs’ final score with an unassisted goal when she dribbled down the middle of the field and found the back of the net.

The Lady Bucs held a 16-1 margin in shots-on-goal and owned a 3-0 lead in corner kicks.

B-U keeper Kyndal Davis turned away the only shot she saw. Endrick made 10 saves for Martinsburg.

The win was the sixth in a row for the Lady Bucs of head coach Jackie Zuliani as they improved their record to 6-2 on the year.

They will return to action Tuesday when they host Liberty at 5:30 p.m.
