Lady Buccaneers run to third-place finish at Braxton

SUTTON, W.Va. – Tiffany Williams cracked the top 10 to pace her cross country Lady Buccaneers to a third-place finish at the Braxton Invitational at Holly Grove Park on Saturday.

Williams finished in 26:02 to finish 9th overall. Lexi Morici of Elkins easily won the meet with a time of 23:22, more than have a minute ahead of second-place Morgan Tuner of Notre Dame.

Behind Williams, the Buckhannon-Upshur top five consisted of Maggie Queen in 13th (26:19), Jenny Williams in 20th (28:15), Kassidy Wilfong in 33rd (32:51) and Molly Fox in 34th (32:52).

Elkins won the meet, with Nicholas County second, Buckhannon-Upshur third and Notre Dame fourth.
