Lacrosse Lady ‘Cats tumble to Frostburg State, 20-5

FROSTBURG, Md. – The West Virginia Wesleyan (2-6, 0-3) lacrosse team fell to Frostburg State on Thursday evening at Bobcat Stadium in Frostburg, Md.
 
WVWC Leaders
Emma Adcock recorded another multi-goal game and led WVWC with a pair of goals. Isabella VeronaAdely Trujillo-Gonzalez and Makenzi Lewellyn each added a goal. Maggie Wroe collected four ground balls and made 11 saves.
 
Frostburg State Leaders
13 Frostburg State players scored a goal. Lilly Stephens led all scorers with three goals. Sarah Allgaier accumulated three ground balls. Grace Dickey secured the win with four saves.
 
Inside the Action
The home team ripped off 12 straight goals to start the game. Adcock got Wesleyan on the board with 7:50 left in the second half. Frostburg State led 14-1 at the end of the first half. Lewellyn scored four minutes into the second half and Trujillo-Gonzalez scored two minutes later that gave WVWC three goals.
 
Adcock scored her second goal of the game at the 9:48 mark in the fourth quarter. Verona ripped a shot into the net prior to time expiring. Frostburg State picked up a 20-5 MEC win.

WVWC lacrosse will be back in action on Saturday when they will face Waynesburg on the road at 7 p.m.
