TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc lacrosse team ended their regular season in dominant fashion with an 18-0 home victory over Charleston Catholic Friday evening.
Kendall Defibaugh led the B-U attack with six goals while Mallory Moss and Heather Hayes each had three, Elaney Herron two and Kaylee Black, Mary Ellen Adams, Jacklyn Leichliter and Chloe Bennett each had one.
Black led the team in ground balls with nine while Kendall Hefner had four.
Haylea Crihfield and Josie Rosencrance split time in net for the Lady Bucs with each keeper making three saves.
The win, the third in a row for head coach Jaime Greene’s Lady Bucs, improved their mark to 9-4 heading into their playoff opener with St. Albans at home on Tuesday.
B-U swept St. Albans in the regular season, winning a 15-2 on the road back on March 31 and then winning a 17-2 decision at home on April 28.
