Lacrosse Bucs falls in playoff opener to Mountain State, 15-6

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur lacrosse Bucs saw their season come to an end in the first round of the playoffs after a 15-6 setback to the Mountain State Vikings Thursday evening at Freal “Red” Crites Memorial Stadium.

The Bucs defeated Mountain State in the regular season by an 11-8 score but came up short in their playoff battle.

Tucker Hatfield and Kevin Bohnsack each had two goals to lead the B-U offense while Kaleb Roby and Joey Butcher each had one.

Bohnsack led the team in ground balls with 18 while Roby had 11.

Remmy Bonnet made 11 saves for the Bucs in net while Declan Ranson stopped five shots for Mountain State.

The Bucs ended their year with a 5-5 record.
