TENNERTON – A grand opening for the new Kroger gas station is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 9.

James Menees, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s mid-Atlantic region, confirmed Thursday that a ribbon-cutting and grand opening is scheduled for 10 a.m. morning. Menees said customers who have a Kroger Plus card are eligible to receive 20 cents off per gallon from Feb. 9 through Saturday, Feb. 12.

The fuel center opened quietly at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, creating a buzz on social media.

Menees projected the station would be completed in late January or early February in a previous story.

“This is a significant offering, and we know that the community and the residents are looking forward to the fuel center being completed and open for business,” Menees said.
