Kenny L. Hess

Kenny L. Hess, age 78, a resident of Tallmansville WV, passed from this life on Friday, December 6, 2024, in the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, following a brief illness.

He was born on August 13, 1946, in Wheeling WV, a son to the late Harry Henry Hess, and Edna Pauline White.

On April 14, 2013, he joined hands in marriage to Diana Loudin Kelley whose unwavering love and partnership were a testament to their enduring bond. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, where kindness and laughter flourished.

Kenny leaves behind sons Ronnie Hess and wife Cathy of Sardis OH, Timothy Kelley and wife Teresa of French Creek WV, Benjamin Kelley and wife Angello of Houston TX, daughters Diana Moore of New Martinsville WV, Rebecca Tenney and husband Donald of Tallmansville WV, and Beth Howard of Queens WV, a brother Jack Hess and wife Tina of Sardis OH, sisters Darlene Hess, and Cindy Hess, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Mae Hess.

Mr. Hess was a Protestant by faith, he served in the US Army. He worked for several years at the Ormark Aluminum Factory, he owned and operated a car lot in Sardis OH. Kenny loved going to auctions and he also enjoyed online auctions. In his spare time, Kenny loved to travel and watch westerns on TV. Kenny’s life was marked by his gentle spirit and his commitment to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and integrity that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence inspired many, and his memory will be etched in the lives he touched.

Family and friends will be received at the Cutright Chapel Church on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 11 am until 1 pm the funeral hour. Rev. Scott Spotloe and Rev. Skyler Wood will officiate, and interment will follow in the Cutright Chapel Cemetery.
