BUCKHANNON – Pick up your phone and dial Kelley Tierney State Farm to join their “Quotes for Good” campaign to benefit the Upshur County Public Library, during the month of April.

For each non-member of State Farm who calls or stops by Kelley Tierney’s office and requests an insurance quote, the office will donate $10 to the UCPL.

Paul Norko, the library’s director, said the donations from State Farm will provide funding to continue the abundance of library programs and services that have been provided to the residents of Upshur County for many years.

“I would like to thank Kelley and her team for choosing our organization to support this month,” Norko said. “Strong community partners provide a mutually beneficial relationship to help nonprofit organizations such as the Upshur County Public Library get the word out about the programs, services and materials we have.”

Tierney, a Buckhannon-based State Farm agent, shared why the UCPL was a great fit for this month’s “Quotes for Good” campaign:

“The library serves so many folks and offers so much beyond the obvious of books,” Tierney said. “Many in our area use and depend on the computer services, including Hotspot lending, movies, copying and fax services, meeting space and of course their popular children’s programming. It is our pleasure to support the Upshur County Public Library this month.”

Community members and policyholders are welcome to suggest a local organization that would benefit from future State Farm campaigns. Buckhannon organizations who wish to partner with Kelley Tierney State Farm for a “Quotes for Good” initiative are encouraged to reach out via Facebookwebsite, or by phone at 304-472-5552. Or stop by the Kelley Tierney State Farm office at 115 East Main Street in Buckhannon.

“Our office strives to be good neighbors by giving back to the community where we live and work as well as supporting the education and training of future generations,” Tierney said. “We truly want to live State Farm’s tagline… ‘Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is there.’”
