Kathryn Joyce Reed

Kathryn Joyce Reed, age 78, of Buckhannon, died Monday, March 20, 2023, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. 

She was born in Buckhannon on September 24, 1944, a daughter of the late Leland and Wanda Jane Hawkins Tenney.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers:  Doug and Dennis Tenney. 

She is survived by two sons:  Greg Reed and Brad Reed and wife Tracy, both of Buckhannon; two daughters:  Teresa and husband Eddy Bender and Wendy and husband Bill McDaniel, both of Buckhannon; four grandchildren:  Joey and wife Charliee, Julia and husband Troy, Kaylie, and Amber; six great grandchildren:  Dante, Amelia, Malakia, Daniel, Andrew, and Brooklyn; two brothers:  Delmar and wife Darla and Jamie; two sisters:  Linda and Shirley; two sisters-in-law:  Judy Tenney and Navonda Tenney; several nieces and nephews; and many grandkitties and furbabies. 

Kathryn was a Christian by faith and loved to play Bingo.

Kathryn’s request for cremation was honored and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
