Kathleen Sophia Lewis

Kathleen Sophia Lewis, 87, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Nella’s Nursing Home in Elkins, where she had been a resident for several years. 

She was born on September 25, 1932, in Randolph County, a daughter of the late John and Mary Kittle Roth. 

On October 21, 1954, she was united in marriage to Richard Charles Lewis, who survives.  Also surviving are one son Steven Lewis and wife Melissa of Selbyville; three daughters:  Opal and husband Ralph Lipps of Rock Cave, Deborah Sayre of Pickens, and Denease Lewis of Helvetia; two grandchildren:  Olivia Winkle and Kathy Bryan; three great grandchildren:  Daniel and Heidi Bryan and Sarah Winkle; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters:  Pearl McDaniels and Mae Freeman; and two brothers:  Johnny and Alden Roth. 

Mrs. Lewis loved flowers and gardening, and feeding and watching birds. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020, at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
