Karen Lynn Gimmel, age 54, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, with her lifelong companion, Christopher Michael Pyles, in Buckhannon.
She was born December 5, 1967, in Cleverly, MD, a daughter of the late Andrew Williams Gimmel and Dorothy Marie Hyre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Gimmel.
She is survived by one daughter, Brittany Pyles of Buckhannon; one son, Michael Pyles of Buckhannon; one grandson, Elijah Deming of Buckhannon and one brother, Andy Gimmel of WV.
Karen was the 1st Assistant Manager at McDonald’s where she had worked for over 34 years.
Friends will be received Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 5 to 9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. In honoring Karen’s wishes, she will be cremated after the services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
