Judge clears way for Buckhannon to acquire land for new water plant as parties begin legal process to determine property’s value

A judge granted the City of Buckhannon entry to two Wood Street parcels needed for a new water treatment plant on Wednesday, ruling the condemnation serves a legitimate public use. The city has valued the property at $802,500, but a legal process will determine the final value.
