Joyce Ellen Wilt

Joyce Ellen Wilt, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, July 19, 2025, at her home.

She was born July 7, 1952, in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Kenneth Eugene Pingley and Norma Jean Gibson Sutton.

On November 28, 1987, she married Richard Wilt, who survives.

Also surviving are five children: Stephanie Wix and husband Daniel of Parkersburg, WV; Nathan Davis and wife Nicole of Buckhannon; Jonathan Davis of Crawford, WV; Heather Davis of Rock Cave; and Courtney Cunningham of Rock Cave.

She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Tyler Davis of Buckhannon; Hope Wix of Parkersburg; Nathaniel Davis of Lakewood, OH; Haley Robinson and husband Trenton of Buckhannon; Gage Wix and wife Ally of Parkersburg; Kory Cunningham and wife Sarah; Jenna Anderegg and husband Cole of Buckhannon; Jeremiah Thompson of Rock Cave; Olivia Pingley of Rock Cave; and Gabrielle Davis of Crawford.

She has six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Pingley and wife Carol of South Carolina; and one sister, Sharon Cronin of South Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Toby.

Joyce took pride in helping her children and grandchildren in any way she could, putting her own needs last. Her strong work ethic was and will be instilled in her family for generations to come.

Joyce had a lovely smile and made connections with everyone; she never met a stranger.

In honoring her wishes, Joyce will be cremated. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
