Joanna George named VIP at St. Joseph’s Hospital

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — St. Joseph’s Hospital recently honored JoAnna George with the Valued Inspired Person Award (VIP) for the hospital. JoAnna is a Clinical Service Leader in St. Joseph’s Hospital Nursing Care Facility.

JoAnna’s coworkers say she always has a smile on her face and something nice to say. She is respectful and never negative, a true joy with whom to work. She goes above and beyond to help others, whether patients, family members or other staff. 

She is one to go the extra mile, helping whenever she sees a need.  The residents love her.  She is very attentive and compassionate with them and when requested, she also reads devotionals to them providing spiritual care.  JoAnna is a true demonstration of St. Joseph’s Hospital values.

St. Joseph’s Hospital honors staff members with the Valued Inspired Person Award (VIP) on a bimonthly basis.  The VIP Award is given to those who demonstrate the Christ values of the hospital:  Compassion, Hospitality, Reverence, Interdependence, Stewardship, and Trust.
