Jim Linger

Jim Linger, 54, of French Creek, W.Va., died Saturday, September 4, 2021, at his home.

He was born May 14, 1967, in Buckhannon, W.Va., a son of Carol Fitzgerald Linger of Buckhannon and the late James Donald Linger.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Katie Payne and husband Caleb of Frankfort, IN; six grandchildren, Alex Davis, Lilly Davis, Evan Linger, Clara Linger, Wrenly Payne and Evie Payne all of Frankfort, IN; one brother, Larry Linger and wife Jodie of Fairmont, WV; two nephews, Morgan and Conner Linger both of Fairmont and his friend and co-worker, Angie Goldsmith.

Mr. Linger was a Methodist by faith. He was lovingly known in town as the Pizza Guy and worked for Domino’s for over 30 years. Jim was a hard worker who loved hunting, fishing and working outside. He also enjoyed his weekly Friday trip to Randolph County to deliver the Prospector to Mrs. Adams.

In honoring Mr. Linger’s wishes, he will be cremated.

Friends will be received for a memorial gathering Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ken A. Ramsey officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
