Jenkins Ford to host Second Annual Car Show for pancreatic cancer research

John Jenkins of Jenkins Ford and Stephanie Santilli, a PanCAN Volunteer, present the PanCAN Choice Trophy to the Stalnaker Brothers of Lumberport for their 1978 VW Bus and Camper at the 2023 Car Show.

On Saturday, September 28, Jenkins Ford in Buckhannon will host its Second Annual Car Show for pancreatic cancer research. The day’s events will include something for everyone and will be from 10 am to 3 pm. The first 200 cars will receive customized dash plates, and the cost per car is only $15.

There will be raffles, door prizes, and trivia contests throughout the day. Auctioneer Aaron Harris will conduct a live auction as well.

Last year’s Inaugural Car Show was held on October 14, 2023, and it rained almost the entire time. Despite the weather, 53 cars were entered, including one from Paducah, KY. Two cars were registered by two pancreatic cancer survivors, and over $10,000 was raised for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN).

Former Jenkins Ford employee Jim Fetty passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2007. His first full-time job was with Jenkins Ford.

There will be over 25 trophies awarded to entries, including PanCAN Choice and Best of Show. If anyone has any questions, they can call Dennis Crawford at Jenkins Ford at 304-472-1700.
