BUCKHANNON — A City of Buckhannon trash toter appeared to at least partially buffer the impact of a wreck at the corner of South Florida and Randolph streets Tuesday afternoon.

A two vehicle wreck involving a van and Jeep occurred just a few minutes after 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Jeep hit the front of the house, but not before it smashed into a green City of Buckhannon toter.

According to witnesses on scene, one man was at home at the time of the crash, but he was not injured and had been in the back of the home when the wreck happened.

The Buckhannon Police Department is the investigating agency.
