Jean Ann Adams

Jean Ann Adams (nee Lewis), 89, of Buckhannon, WV, passed peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Country Living Personal Care Home in Jane Lew.  Born in New Era, PA, July 7, 1934, Jean was the daughter of the late Donald and Dolly Heath Lewis.  Jean graduated from New Albany High School in PA, class of 1951.

Jean was married to the late Nathan Adams for 38 years. Surviving are her 3 sons: Robert (wife Rosanne) of Chesterfield, VA, Ronald (wife Ann) of Holliston, MA, and Richard (wife Terri) of Buckhannon, WV; her 5 grandchildren: Joseph Adams (Megan), Nathan (Ashley), Caroline (Christopher), Cameron, and Haley; her great-grandson James; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was a member of the Reger Chapel UMC, long-standing treasurer of the Reger Chapel United Methodist Women, past treasurer and president of the Brushy Fork CEOS, active at the Buckhannon Senior Center, an avid gardener, and volunteered for many charitable organizations.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel, 940 Route 20 South Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 10-11:00 AM—the funeral hour—with Michael Hinkle officiating.  Private graveside services and interment will be held at the New Era Cemetery, Wyalusing, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reger Chapel UMC, c/o Emma Lue Marsh, 74 Westview Acres Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201 or WVUHS Home Care, 2673 Davisson Run Road–Suite 203, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
