Janice Marie Chidester, age 64, of Rock Cave, the Gaines community, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 14, 1958, a daughter of the late Theodore Chidester and Francis Lanham Chidester who survives. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one brother Larry Chidester and wife Ann of Gaines, one nephew Theodore Chidester and wife Ceara of Gaines.

Janice graduated from Buckhannon Upshur High School in 1977 and was the owner of the Gaines Diner.

The family has honored her wishes for cremation. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM at which time a memorial service will be held with Pastor Terry Gower officiating.
