James E. Robinson

James E. Robinson, 89, of Crawford, died at his home on Monday, August 3, 2020, under the care of Peoples Hospice. 

He was born in Webster County on August 27, 1930, a son of the late Owen and Leola Maude Cool Robinson. 

He was united in marriage on August 10, 1953, to Betty L. Cooper Robinson, who preceded him in death on June 8, 2005.  

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by one daughter Della Viola Rollins; one son Ralph Robinson; and four sisters. 

He is survived by two daughters:  Sue and husband Arnie Hinkle of Cleveland, W.Va. and Virginia and husband Leonard Fisher of Walkersville; six sons: Elbert “Sonny” Robinson and wife Karen of Frenchton, Raymond Robinson of Crawford, Earl Robinson of Buckhannon, Ervin Robinson and wife Nellie of Buckhannon, Pete Robinson of Kanawha Head, and Calvin Robinson and wife Tina of Gaines; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Peoples Hospice for their compassionate care. 

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 7, 2020, from noon to 1 p.m.  Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 p.m., on August 7, 2020, at the Heaston Cemetery with Pastor David Jessie officiating.  The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral chapel to help with funeral expenses.
