Internationally known stylist visits Fred W. Eberle Technical Center

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, internationally-known hairstylist Michael O’Rourke visited Fred W. Eberle Technical Center’s cosmetology program for a guest lecture and hairdressing demonstration.

O’Rourke, founder of the Carlton Salon Group and the Big Sexy Hair and Rock Your Hair product lines, has had an iconic career as a platform artist, celebrity hairstylist, salon owner, and philanthropist, and he drew from his knowledge and experience in each of these areas during his lecture on Wednesday.

In addition to hairstyling advice and suggestions, O’Rourke placed special emphasis on being self-motivated, hardworking and humble as an emerging stylist, values that FETC prides itself in instilling in its students as well.

FETC would like to thank O’Rourke and instructor Stephen Skidmore for arranging for this wonderful opportunity for our up-and-coming cosmetology students.
