High Point Construction takes second-quarter lead in men’s golf

High Point Construction took the early lead in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League’s second-quarter play after defeating First Community Bank, while Stephen Jeran led individual scores.

TENNERTON – Following another rain out last week, the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League began second-quarter play on Wednesday with High Point Construction taking the early lead.

High Point Construction defeated First Community Bank by a 25 ½-14 ½ score to take the lead.

First-quarter winner Highland Landscaping resides in second place after a 23-17 victory over Sam’s Pizza while Hank Ellis Insurance is right behind in third place with 22 points after a 22-18 win over Custom Cabinets.

Lisa Cain Edward Jones is in fourth place after downing Feola’s Flowers by a 20 ½-19 ½ score.

Stephen Jeran of Custom Cabinets easily won Low Actual honors with a 35 while Howard Feola and John Egress, both of Feola’s Flowers both shot a 40.

Jeran also claimed Low Net honors with a 30.
