Gregory, Auvil play in North-South All-Star soccer game

ELKINS– Buckhannon-Upshur’s Josh Gregory and Dalton Auvil played In the 2022 WVHSSCA North-South All-Star soccer game Sunday afternoon at Davis & Elkins College.

The game was split into four 20-minute quarters in which Gregory played in the second and fourth quarters while Auvil, the only keeper for the North, played the entire game, which the South won by a 3-1 margin.

“This truly is an incredible honor for both of these young men,” stated Buckhannon-Upshur head coach Mike Donato. “The North-South All-Star game selections are completed by the coaches so it is a testament to the talent both Dalton and Josh have. The fact that these two have spent the last few days with the most talented players in the region speaks volumes to their skills and talent. They stepped on the pitch today and went toe to toe with some incredible soccer players and held their own. Josh played some great defense and had some quality passes forward and Dalton made some outstanding saves.”
