Golf ‘Cats place 11th at Wally Edgell Invitational

DAVIS, W.Va. — The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s golf team finished 11th at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational on Sept. 20-21 at Canaan Valley Resort.
 
Alexis Abalos finished the highest on the individual leaderboard for the Bobcats. He shot a 72 in his first round and a 76 in his second round for a 148. The freshman from San Diego, Ca., fired eight birdies in the two-day event.

Dan Morgret finished with a total of 149. He hit an eagle on the third hole in round one and made nine birdies in the event. 

Davis Haynes totaled 151 and made six birdies in 36 holes. Rounding out WVWC’s lineup was Matt Allen, who shot a 161, and Rigel Wilson, who finished with 164.
 
The Bobcats will return to the links for the Davis & Elkins Invite, a two-round event at Stonewall Resort, on Sept. 27-28.
