Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council announces call for board nominations

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council is inviting community members across its 61-county region to submit nominations for its Board of Directors and Board Committees.

The council is seeking passionate, forward-thinking leaders committed to supporting girls and strengthening the region’s future.

“We are looking for individuals who bring strong professional expertise, broad community connections and a shared belief in our mission,” said Beth Casey, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council. “Whether you are nominating yourself or someone you admire, we welcome all voices and backgrounds.”

The organization is seeking individuals with:

  • Finance expertise to help guide strategic decisions
  • Strong community or professional networks to expand partnership and outreach
  • A deep commitment to youth development, leadership and community service

The Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the council, supporting long-term sustainability and ensuring Girl Scouts in West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia and Maryland have access to impactful programming and opportunities.
