Gary Branson Wolford

Gary Branson Wolford, 76, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at his home. 

He was born on October 6, 1945, in Petersburg, WV, a son of the late Gorman and Loreta Rowan Wolford.  On November 14, 1966, he was united in marriage to Barbara Louise Ott Wolford who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters:  Patty Tenney and husband Todd and Kim Moss and husband Roy, both of Buckhannon; three grandchildren:  Cameron Tenney, Jack Waggy, and Luke Waggy; and one brother Tom Wolford of Buckhannon.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister Judy Wolfe.

Gary was a veteran of the US Army, a retired police officer, and a member of the F.O.P.  He enjoyed playing guitar, hunting and fishing.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM — the funeral hour with Pastor Rick Cutright officiating. Interment will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park where the Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
