Davis and Elkins College came out on top of a physical women’s soccer match with West Virginia Wesleyan College on Thursday.

Roxanne McFarlin’s strike in 22nd minute would ultimately be the game winner. The Senators came away with the win despite being heavily out-shot (16-8) by Wesleyan. They also surrendered eight corner kicks, while the Lady ‘Cats allowed just two.

At 3-4 overall, Wesleyan will head on the road for a Sunday skirmish at Fairmont State.
